IT wasn't hard to spot Doctor Who star Karen Gillan as she strolled around New York in this knee-length dress.

But fans might have trouble recognising her in this role from last year.

Karen, 22, snogged a GIRL when she played a lesbian bride in Channel 4 comedy sketch series The Kevin Bishop Show.

The red-haired beauty, who plays Amy Pond in Who, was this week meeting US fans of the BBC1 hit with new Time Lord Matt Smith.
