Stephen Fry: BBC should give people more credit for being 'smart'
Stephen Fry has criticised the BBC for its unsophisticated programmes, saying that the corporation should give viewers more credit for being “smart”.

5 Sci-Fi Actors Who Were War Heroes in Real Life
Patrick Troughton (1920-1987) played the Second Doctor (1966-1969) on Doctor Who (1963- ). He was on Long Island, New York when World War II broke out. His father arranged for him to return to Britain on a Belgian (then a neutral) ship. The ship hit a mine and sank, but Troughton escaped in a lifeboat until a Greek ship picked up survivors. He enlisted in the Royal Navy in 1940, was trained at Loch Ewin, and commissioned as an officer. Troughton participated in daring raids against German shipping off the Dutch coast. He later received his own command and guarded convoys and rescued downed airmen in the North Sea.

Mr Smith is a fictional extraterrestrial computer voiced by Alexander Armstrong which appears in the British children's science fiction television series, The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Dervla Kirwan is an Irish actress famous for roles in British television shows such as Ballykissangel and Goodnight Sweetheart. . She also appeared in the Doctor Who Christmas special episode, "The Next Doctor". She also provided the voiceovers for the well-known "this is not just food" TV advertising campaign for UK retailer Marks & Spencer.

101 Ways to Leave A Gameshow
What a load of rubbish. Shame on you BBC!
'Perhaps the cost dictated that this interesting idea should be stretched to an hour when it could easily - and entertainingly - have been over in 15 minutes. 1/10 for the idea and nothing for the execution. Awful!'*
