Alun Vega photos from filming today (29 September 2009)

Whilst I was busy taking photos of Annette Crosbie, I completely missed Matt Smith getting out of the car!! Typical!.. I was mesmerized by the famous granny, I really was... I couldn't place her bloody name for the life of me!! haha! I knew she was Victor Meldrew's wife!! and I had seen her on a 50 plus advert the day before flogging summit!!!
Luckily Alun Vega was stood right next to me and managed to get a few of the Doctor... as it turned out, these were the best photos of Matt Smith (Doctor 11) that anyone was going to get today!! So well done Alun! :-)

Last few photos from todays filming...

GGG outside house, she didn't look around... and if she did then she was shielded! Arrgghh!!

Karen Gillan (Grumpy Ginger Girl) in the middle about to go into the house for yet another take! It was so difficult to get photos of her or the Doctor today... I did hang around for six hours (from 12:00 - 6:00pm) and tried my very best! :-)

Smoking another ciggie... it is stressful being the Doctor Who producer!!

- I have heard that Doctor Who filming tomorrow will be in Brecon.
- Shop keepers in Llandaff said filming will be taking place in the area for the next 9 days (really??)
- Residents I spoke to today said that they had a notice pushed threw their door saying that filming was taking place Mon -Wed (this is at odds with Brecon report, ... I would go with the Brecon filming, more of a reliable source).
- I have heard that filming took place in Bute Park first thing this morning (29 Sep) and Karen Gillan was spotted in Police uniform?
- It was a gorgeous day for filming, the sun was out all day... and I was wearing shorts and t-shirt... lovely!!
- The two security guys were fantastic, very friendly to everyone... this makes a refreshing change... thank you lads!
- Spent a good part of the day chatting to a photographer from the South Wales Echo, who said that he had also caught a fair bit of Who filming in the past and had recently taken pics for John Barrowman, he said JB was a very nice man!
- The producer lady (TS) was smoking more than she wasn't!!
- It was a long day for everyone, and the crew were looking forward to finishing for the day!

Matt Smith outside the house, I managed to get this snap before they stuck a great big white board behind him so no one could take photos!

Annette Crosby outside the house, to the left of it... she has just helped herself to a sandwich... it's hungry work helping the Doctor no doubt!!

Karen Gillan appearing very briefly outside the house... is this going to be the Pond residence? Is Annette Crosby going to be Amy Pond's granny? She would then be GGGGG - Grumpy Ginger Girl Gillan's Granny!!

More photos from filming today...

Karen Gillan and Matt Smith can be seen in this photo... it was so difficult to get a pic of them... they were in the house filming all day, and when they did come ouside it was for seconds only, so I was lucky to get anything. At about 5pm Matt Smith came outside and sat down, BUT he was shielded by the crew who used a great big white board to block anyone from taking photos of him.

Continued...

This man was outside the house, watching the action that was happening inside the house. It was all inside the house filming at this particular location today.
I have heard that Doctor Who had been filming first thing this morning in Bute Park and Amy Pond had been wearing a Police Officer uniform!

This actor in the blue t-shirt runs in about 30 secs after Amy Pond has ran into the house... he is carrying a 'man bag'! Who is this actor? MS and KG were shielded away from the public all day, which is why photos like this are the best that anyone could hope for really.
Karen Gillan can also be seen in this pic, about to burst into the house.

A few people starting to gather to watch the filming... it was quiet all day which was surprising considering news about Doctor Who filming had appeared in the South Wales Echo (local paper) Will upload pics of that as soon as finished uploading these.

In the background you can see ANNETTE CROSBIE being filmed by the Doctor Who Confidential team, on the front lawn of the house. Whist this was going on, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were filming indoors.

Former Doctor Who star, Peter Davision has recently been cast in the new West End musical, 'Legally Blonde'


Former Doctor Who star, Peter Davision has recently been cast in the new West End musical, 'Legally Blonde'. Alongside former Coronation Street and Eastender star, Jill Halfpenny, Davison will be playing the character of Professor Callahan.The musical will be based around the film which starred, Reese Witherspoon, in 2001.Peter Davison was the 5th Doctor and also starred in the CiN (Children In Need) special in 2007. This is not the first time he has been cast in a musical, he has also made appearances in Spamalot, of which he played the character, King Arthur.Rehearsals are now well underway, and the performance is expected to start on the 5th December 2009 at the Savoy Theatre. The performance will end on May 23, 2010.

John Simm on Radio 2 Jonathan Ross show

Today, saw John Simm appear on Radio 2's, Jonathan Ross show, intially talking about Speaking in Tongues, which can currently be seen at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London, but no interview would be complete with some talk of Who! Simm will be reprising his role of the Master, this Christmas.Speaking to Jonathan, he said, “Ooh, he’s back all right! I can’t tell you - the producers are sweating now listening to this! But it’s fantastic, it was such fun to do, and it’s brilliant to be asked to go back and play that character again, and Russell has written these amazing scripts, because obviously they’re David’s last hurrah as the Doctor.”He added: “It’s a hell of a way to go though. It’s a great, great couple of episodes.”Next, he reveals that he thinks that the episodes will air on Christmas Day and New Years Day, “It’s Christmas Day and, I think, New Year’s Day, I’ve never been on Christmas Day before - I’m very excited! And it’s called The End of Time, so no pressure there then for the new Doctor!”On, speaking about David Tennant as the 10th Doctor, Simm said, “He’s a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant Doctor, He’s just been wonderful.”
